Doing this Chinese style braised beef. Left stove on low with lid on pan and went to work lol. 5 hours later (glad no accidents) just put in carrots and mushrooms. Five spice, garlic, ginger, dried/fried chilli, onions, chilli oil, pepper, soy sauce, sugar, a little splash of sesame oil… Used quite a bit of red wine too so could turn out bourguignon-y. What do you call this? A stew? Cooking some rice now :) gonna give it another hour and stir in some frozen peas.
